Q: Everyone is the same. Why are some people born smart, well-connected, rich and old? Some people work hard all their lives, but they still end up down and out. Excuse me, master, who is in charge of people's wealth, rich or poor?

Master Xing Yun answered: Why are there differences between rich and poor, rich and poor, smart and stupid, beautiful and ugly? These problems often make people misunderstand the inequality in the world, and even blame God for playing tricks on people, so they are cynical or extreme. In fact, people are the same. Why do some people come from rich families? Some people are humble? Some people are gifted, dignified and beautiful; Some people are mediocre and ugly? Some people sit and enjoy the shadow of their ancestors all their lives, and everything goes well; Some people, no matter how hard they try, end up in trouble and poverty. What is the reason? In a word, this is all due to the reward of individuals staying in the world to do good deeds, while ordinary people attribute all these different life experiences to "fate."

The birth of fate is actually a causal phenomenon of three generations. As far as Buddhism is concerned, life is connected with three generations, and each of us has a life flowing in the past, present and future generations. The process of life flowing is "twelve karma". "Twelve karma" shows that all beings have made various behaviors from the beginning because of ignorance, so there are karma. With karma, they have fame and color, and then "six entries" (six roots) are formed, and then they feel "receiving" when they touch the external environment with six roots. With life, old age is inevitable, and after death, it is the beginning of another life.

Because life is a reincarnation of three generations, and the life of three generations of reincarnation is run through by the "karma" created by previous lives, so our fate in this life is good or bad, not the result of secular karma, but the karma of good and evil accumulated by many generations in previous lives, which can sprout and grow in this life. Therefore, in addition to the behavioral factors in this life, the blessings and misfortunes in this life are also related to the karma in previous lives.

Similarly, what we do in this life, whether good or bad, can bear fruit in the future and become the fate of the afterlife. The Buddhist scripture says: "If you want to know the cause and effect of past lives, the recipient in this life is;" If you want to know the future fruit, the author of this life is. 」

Life in the third world is good and bad, and they are mutually causal. Therefore, happiness, wealth and wealth in this life are all related to good causes and good deeds in previous lives. It's like we praise children with excellent qualifications as "geniuses" and "geniuses"; "Heaven" is cause and effect, because he has the "gene" of what he did in the past. When he matures in this world, he can show his cleverness. On the other hand, some people are poor and frustrated in this life. Don't blame others, blame you and blame him. This is also the result of previous lives-karma.

From the Buddhist view of cause and effect, everything has a cause, and the main reason is karma. The book "Meditation in Hell" says: "Although Huodao resents poison, the harm is tolerable. If you create evil karma yourself, it will be too bitter afterwards. Relatives are separated from their relatives, and only if they don't give up their careers, good and evil will eventually be rewarded, and everything will follow. Where flowers go, incense follows, and good and evil follow. Birds depend on the forest until dusk, so do all beings, and then meet again. Karma sustains the life of our third generation. From the past to the present, from the present to the future, the six roads are endless.

Therefore, in order to change the fate of life, we must start with the behavior transformation of body, mouth and heart. In other words, we should explore from the "cause". If you just care about and pursue everything in the "results" newspaper, it will be of no help. For example, some people are born smart, which is the result of hard work, diligence, good knowledge and trust in the past; A well-off person, because of thrift, budget and hard work.

Because each of us is poor and noble, which is determined by behavior; Behavior has a causal relationship, behavior is a cause, and karma is a result. Industry affects the fortune of life, so our every move can be said to be creating our own destiny. We don't have to rely on fortune-telling, fortune-telling, fortune-telling, craps, so our physical and mental behaviors can change our own destiny. For example, if the mentality changes, the attitude will also change; When the attitude changes, the habits will also change; Habits change, so does personality; When personality changes, fate will also change. Therefore, changing your mind is a medicine to change your destiny; Turning around is a good way to create destiny.

Fate, like everything in the world, has a cause and a result; As you sow, you reap. Karma is not bad. The quality of karma depends on your own karma, not given by the gods. If we are honest, even Yan Luowang will not dare to judge and punish us casually, just as judges in the world will be punished once they are sentenced to unjust imprisonment. If our behavior is not good, even if Yan Luowang is bribed and sentenced unfairly, he will be punished. So everyone has Buddha nature, everyone is a god, and everyone can decide their own future.

In a word, Buddhism is not about domination, but karma. If you force yourself to say that you have an advantage, you are an advantage. Because things are impermanent, in impermanence, as long as you change your karma, you can dominate the future results; Because life is not static, as long as we correct, improve and improve our behavior, we can naturally transform our future and destiny.

Therefore, personal wealth will be influenced by social, political, economic, educational, cultural and other factors the day after tomorrow; Even the support or drag of friends will affect a person's future. Whether a family is happy or not, in addition to parents leading a family's economic life, every member of the family also has a decisive influence; Even a country's economy is good or bad, it will be influenced by the international situation, as well as domestic geography, climate, folk customs and other factors, so everything is dominated by karma. However, how to cultivate good karma is in our own hands. The so-called "good karma", as long as we are good karma at ordinary times, we will naturally have good luck. Therefore, to have a bright future, a bright future, it is very important to accumulate good karma.
