Brief introduction of Hengshan storytelling

Hengshan storytelling is a rap art of Han nationality in Shaanxi province, which belongs to an important branch of storytelling in northern Shaanxi and is the representative of storytelling in northern Shaanxi. It has a long history in Hengshan. Before the founding of the People's Republic of China, blind artists went from village to village, praying for the people and saying "Peace Book" to prolong life. Some also engage in superstitious activities such as divination and fortune telling.
