The People's Hospital of Wuhan Economic Development Zone is the largest comprehensive hospital integrating medical treatment, scientific research, teaching, prevention, health care and rehabilitation in China. Wuhan University People's Hospital, also known as Hubei Provincial People's Hospital, is also the first clinical college of Wuhan University. Established in 1923, it is the first government-run hospital in Hubei. The hospital is strategically located in the southern development core area of Wuhan Economic Development Zone.
