1946 July 15 Mr. Wen Yiduo gave a speech in the court in the morning and went to Democracy Weekly to host a reception in the afternoon. After 5 o'clock, he and his eldest son Wen, who came to pick him up, returned to Xicangpo dormitory. When he got home, he was suddenly shot. Wen Yiduo was shot in the head and died on the spot.

Now with the passage of time, it has changed and become the dormitory of other units, but later generations have set up a monument so that the memory will not disappear with the changes of the city.
