Brief introduction of Nanxi town

The town is adjacent to Hongyang Town, Guang Tai Town and Meiyun Town of Jieyang City. It is about 25km away from Puning City and15km away from Rongcheng District, Jieyang City. Nanxi Town has a long history and a rich collection of people. Yang Shixun, a famous martyr during the Great Revolution, was from Tang Zhong. Nanyan Ancient Temple on Nan 'an Mountain in the southwest of Nanxi Town is one of the "Eight Ancient Scenery in Puning". In recent years, Nanyan Ancient Temple has been rebuilt, becoming the most famous Buddhist resort and scenic tourist area in Nanxi, attracting Buddhist personages such as Shi Yongxin, the abbot of Shaolin Temple in Songshan Mountain, China, and the surrounding citizens of Shantou and Chaozhou to visit and worship Buddha.
