Is it pseudopsychology that subconscious information can affect our behavior?

Psychology is a very broad field, including many research topics, but fundamentally speaking, psychology is a science about behavior and psychological process.

In this definition, it should be noted that psychology includes not only psychological processes, but also behaviors. In other words, the field of psychology covers internal psychological processes that we can't directly observe (such as thoughts, feelings and wishes) and external behaviors that we can observe (such as talking, smiling and running). Psychology is not psychiatry. Compared with psychiatry, psychology covers a wider range, including all human behaviors and psychological processes, from brain function to social interaction, from mental health to psychological obstacles.

Pseudopsychology is not psychology-for example, graphology (pseudoscience of handwriting analysis), fortune-telling and subconscious information can influence our behavior, and there is no factual basis. All these are classified as pseudopsychology.

Basic psychology is a discipline that studies the general laws of psychological process and personality psychological characteristics of normal adults, and it is the most basic and important basic research of psychology. Basic psychology studies the most general theories and laws of the occurrence and development of psychological process and the formation of individual psychological characteristics, and establishes the most general methodological principles and specific methods of psychological research.
