Cixi said that there are many fortune tellers _ Cixi generations
In the history of China, a woman stood at the top of power for half a century. She did not become a queen, but gained power and status that the queen did not have; She didn't become an emperor, but she held several emperors in her hand. In her time, the Great Qing Dynasty completely collapsed and the Chinese nation began to be passively beaten. In her time, society began to change and ideas began to be civilized. She is Empress Dowager Cixi. Much like Emperor Wanli, in her time, the Great Qing Dynasty was very ill, but she did not see the country perish. She still buried her magnificent mausoleum with rich funerary objects. Strangely, although she never became the queen of the palace, she has always been the queen of the west, but she was buried in the cemetery of the East. Will she regain her rightful place after her death? Or for some other reason?
The tombs of the Qing emperors were not as concentrated as those of the Ming dynasty, nor did every emperor have his own tomb like the Han and Tang dynasties. But several emperors were buried together in one tomb, divided into four tombs. Among them, in Yongling, now Xinbin Manchu Autonomous County, Liaoning Province, there was a Nuzhen leader before the Qing Taizu Nurhachi; Today, in Fuling, near Shenyang, Liaoning Province, the Qing Taizu Nuerhachi and the Qing Taizong Huang Taiji were buried. In Dongling, near Zunhua, Hebei Province, Shunzhi, Kangxi, Gan Long, Xianfeng, Tongzhi and their empresses are buried. He is now buried in Xiling, Yixian County, Hebei Province, where Yongzheng, Jiaqing, Daoguang, Guangxu and their empresses were buried. Among them, the tomb with the largest scale and the most funerary objects is Dongling in Qing Dynasty.
Empress Dowager Cixi was buried in the Qing Dongling. As the highest authority in the late Qing Dynasty, she was extremely extravagant when building her own mausoleum, making the Qing Dongling the most luxurious mausoleum in the Qing Dynasty. However, you will find a very strange phenomenon when you arrive at the Qing Dongling. Emperor Xianfeng's two buried queens, Empress Ci 'an and Empress Dowager Cixi, were Empress Dowager Cixi and Empress Dowager Cixi respectively. Their tombs in Dongling have the same shape and specifications, which are located on the east and west sides of Mangougou. But Empress Dowager Cixi was buried in Dongling; Cian was buried in Xiling. What's going on here?
As we all know, in ancient China, the east was big and the east was expensive. The prince conferred by the emperor became the prince of the East Palace, and the queen of the emperor's main palace lived in the East Palace. Ci 'an was the queen of Emperor Xianfeng, so she became the Queen Mother of the East. Although Cixi's power and influence are much greater than that of Ci 'an, she has never been named the Queen Mother of the East. Then, after her death, she was buried in the mausoleum in the east. Is she going to get back the imperial palace status she didn't get before? Legend has it that the original arrangement was that Cixi was buried in the east and Cixi was buried in the west, but Cixi was very reluctant to such an arrangement. She wanted to get Dongling, so she bet with Empress Ci 'an that the winner could be buried in Dongling. Queen Cian didn't know what it meant and didn't care, so she agreed to her request. Cixi wanted to win the treasure house of the East in this way. Of course, she made multiple preparations for the competition, determined to win, and naturally won the competition. Cian resigned and kept his word, so he gave the tomb in the east to Cixi, and Cixi finally got her wish. There is also a saying that Cixi does whatever she wants, regardless of her birthright. After Ci 'an's death, she monopolized the power, and no one could compete with it. She forced Ci to be buried in the west. Although the court advised, it didn't help. She's just robbing the tomb in the east. Whether it is a trick or a robbery, Cixi will gain an exclusive position after her death and gain the respect of the East for the Queen Mother of the West.
But in fact, these statements can only be legends. In the ancient society of China, where funeral matters were extremely important, it was impossible to change the burial place on its own. Even if Cixi can act arbitrarily, she can't ignore the statutes left by her ancestors. No matter how powerful she is, she will still be the wife of Aixinji Ologa.
Cixi, who was buried in the East, did not gain the aristocratic status in the East, but had to yield to Ci 'an's side and be farther away from Emperor Xianfeng. After winning the favor of the emperor and controlling China for half a century, she could not decide her status after death, but she still had to enter the mausoleum she had to enter. Of course, she can't be willing to change her position, but she can change the buildings and funerary objects. So Cixi ordered the restoration of her mausoleum before she died, making it the most exquisite and luxurious mausoleum in the Qing Dynasty, and the funerary objects occupied all the treasures of the Qing Dynasty. I don't know if she will have any regrets after being buried, but she certainly didn't expect that her luxurious mausoleum would make her restless for several years and she was forced to see the light of day again.
