Where is Jintai Temple?

Jintai Temple is in Huangyangshan, Doumen Town, Doumen District, Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province.

We can take bus No.411and get off at Jintai Temple Waishanmen (bus stop), which is within walking distance. Jintai Temple was originally named Jintai Jingshe. At the end of the Southern Song Dynasty, Song Jun was defeated by Yuan soldiers. Lu Xiufu, the prime minister, threw himself into the sea with the young Xiangxing emperor, and Gong Xingqing and Deng Guangjian, the exiled ministers, sneaked into Huangyangshan to live in seclusion and named their residence Jintai Jingshe. Therefore, it can be said that Jintai Temple is a symbol full of the history of national subjugation and tears in the Southern Song Dynasty.

It was not until the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty that Jintai Temple was repaired and expanded on a large scale. Now it has become one of the famous temples in Zhuhai that worship men and believe in women. Today, Jintai Temple is one of the 20 famous Buddhist temples in China with green trees and cypresses.

Jintai Temple architectural style:

Jintai Temple is located next to the Huang Yang Reservoir built on the mountain. It consists of three main halls: Tianwang Hall, Ursa Major Hall and Guanyin Hall. Follow the Huangyang Reservoir to the parking lot in front of Jintai Temple. On the edge of the parking lot, there is a seven-story stone tower with a height of more than ten meters. This tower is neither wide nor white, standing like a giant sword in the parking lot. Next to the stone pagoda is the inner door of Jintai Temple. The inner mountain gate has a main entrance and two auxiliary doors.

After crossing the inner mountain gate, I came to Mingjing Bridge, and the lake under the bridge was crystal clear. Standing on the bridge, looking at the green water, like a huge emerald embedded in the reservoir. After crossing the Mingjing Bridge, we walked along the stone road to the stone steps of the mountain road. Eighteen carved arhats stand on one side of the stone road. These stone statues are four meters high, different in shape and lifelike.
