Historical evolution of Baoshan

Buwei County was established in the second year of Yuanfeng in the Western Han Dynasty (before 109), belonging to Yizhou County, which was the beginning of the establishment of funeral land.

Baoshan City is located in the west of Yunnan Province, between 98 25 ′ ~10002 ′ east longitude and 24 08 ′ ~ 25 51′ north latitude, bordering Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture and Lincang in the east, Nujiang Lisu Autonomous Prefecture in the north, Dehong Autonomous Prefecture in the west and due south in the northwest. The total area is about 1.96 million square kilometers.
