Schopenhauer's The Wisdom of Life

Stop saying that I may not understand the master's works! The profound philosophical significance represented by the name Schopenhauer scares me. I always feel that it must be obscure and I never thought of reading it. However, it turns out that it is so close to the true face of life that it is quite grounded. Just like the more learned people are, the more refined and approachable they are. Schopenhauer's wisdom in life is simply a spring breeze. It can be said that this is a hen, and countless chicken soups are cooked from this chicken. Reading or reading classics! The more you live, the more you feel that this world is the world in your eyes. Russell said that the universe is unknowable. What little knowledge we have in our short life is really pitiful, even if the whole human cognition of the existence of the universe is ridiculous. One of Schopenhauer's conclusions is that the world is my appearance, and the other is survival. Isn't it? Everyone sees a different world, and different ages see different worlds.

A goal has been achieved, and we have a new desire. Everyone has this power to constantly produce desires. This is the will of life. The world is my will. Like climbing a mountain, I thought I climbed to the top of the mountain, but another mountain appeared in front of me. Therefore, Schopenhauer said that the essence of the will to life is pain.

Is it optimistic or pessimistic to recognize the truth of life and still have the courage to continue living, constantly examine yourself and persist in doing what you want in your limited life?

People are different in three ways. First, what is a person? That is, personality in a broad sense, such as health, strength, temperament, morality, reason, education and so on. Second, what people have is property and all kinds of possessions. The third is whether you care about your position in others' evaluation. "What a person is" is much more important than "What a person has". Personality is the most precious wealth, even far more important than nationality. The cheapest pride is national pride. Only those who have nothing to be proud of themselves will be proud of what thousands of people share.

Schopenhauer, 30, said: If I don't deserve this era, this era doesn't deserve me. Before the age of 63, he was unknown. Only a few students attended classes and only a few hundred books were sold. Fortunately, his family is very rich, and he can live in seclusion instead of writing for a living.
