Is your destiny in your own hands? why

I read this passage in the newspaper: once, I went to visit my friends, who thought they had achieved great success in their careers. Fate was talked about in small talk. I asked: Is there fate in this world? He said: Of course. Let me ask you one more question: What is fate? Since destiny takes a hand, what's the use of struggle? He didn't answer my question directly, but grabbed my left hand with a smile and said that he might as well look at my prime minister first and tell my fortune. After telling me the lifeline, love line, career line and so on, suddenly, he said to me: reach out and do an action like me. His action is to raise his left hand and slowly clench his fist. Finally, he asked: Have you grasped it? I replied in confusion: Hold on tight. He asked again: Where are those fates now? I answered mechanically: in my hand. He is asking: Excuse me, where is fate? I was like a bludgeon, and suddenly realized that my destiny was in my own hands! He went on calmly: No matter what others tell you, no matter how the fortune teller calculates it for you, remember that your destiny is in your own hands, not others' mouths! This is destiny. Of course, if you look at your fist, you will find that there is still a part of your lifeline outside and you haven't caught it. What enlightenment can it give us? Most of our destiny is in our own hands, but some of it is in the hands of "God".
