Lingshan Temple Fair in Lingshan Temple Scenic Area

Lingshan Cultural Temple Fair starts at the end of the lunar calendar every year and lasts about 10 days. The Lingshan Temple Fair, which is well-known in several provinces, started at the end of the lunar calendar and ended on the eighth day of the second lunar month, lasting about 10 days. This is the oldest temple fair in the county. Lingshan Temple is a place for Buddhist activities, dedicated to Guanyin Bodhisattva. It is said that Guanyin, the son of Lingshan, is very effective. Most of the people attending the meeting are women. After burning incense and wishing, you have to buy an extra ticket when you go home, that is, take your children home, so the old society was called "praying for a doll." Since 2000, the Yiyang County Party Committee and the county government have decided to "Yiyang Lingshan Cultural Temple Fair", thus transforming this traditional temple fair, which has long been dominated by burning incense and worshipping Buddha, into a cultural tourism event featuring "government-led, public participation, cultural setting, economic and trade singing, tourism development and economic revitalization".
