How to know yourself and correctly understand Taoism

From a certain point of view, if you close all your senses, the world will cease to exist, nothing will hang high, and you can isolate everything. From the perspective of self, the existence of the world lies in your own heart and in your own judgment. These words seem superstitious, unreliable and idealistic, don't they? Everything from the perspective of self, how to treat it?

Idealism and materialism are actually like yin and yang. Thorough idealism is wrong, and so is thorough materialism. It is even more wrong to deny idealism with materialistic heart, just as religion is two complementary systems and two perfect systems for the current scientific system, which complement each other; Just like you and me, everyone is impossible, and it is precisely because of the differences that a wonderful world has been created. To the world, you may be just a speck, but to you, you are the world.

How to know yourself is a process of practice, and practice is also a kind of practice, and practice is not just practice. Religion exists in this world, regardless of monotheism or polytheism, as long as it exists, it has its reasonable place, and we have chosen different paths. Practice is first of all this wisdom, weighing materialism and idealism, denying everything without idealism, affirming everything without idealism and affirming everything without materialism.

Let's go back to the topic of rain. It's raining here, and it may be very hot there, even during the day. The message conveyed by Rain at Night is a process of bearing and learning within a range. Monarchy is never a mysterious practice or pretense of mystery, but a real experience; Everyone has joys and sorrows. I was very unhappy just now. The state of mind of monasticism, like the state of mind that you and I face, is the present state. Immortal Dojo is everywhere, and famous mountains are miasma. Rules and commandments are everyone's reference.

So what is Taoism like? How do we understand Taoism? What does Taoism include? Taoism is all-encompassing, bearing the foundation of our culture. We see that Taoist culture includes five emperors, Yao Shunyu, Laozi and other gods. It is not that these gods are born gods, but that these gods formed and constructed our present culture. Strictly speaking, Taoism is a religion more similar to materialism. Instead of blindly believing in a god who is always right, I think it can represent the Tao and be called God before being sealed.

As the Eight Immortals represent, men, women and children are rich and poor, and everyone can live forever. Immortality is not because you lost yourself, but because you showed yourself better. It is not that those who believe in me will have eternal life, but that those who realize it will not die; There must be something bad about Taoism, there must be bad people in Taoism, there are good people and bad people everywhere in the world, and all good people can't make this world. You can't think that Taoism is the most perfect or the most evil just because a good Taoist has been cheated by a Taoist.

Many people cheat people under the banner of geomantic omen, fortune telling, alchemy and cultivation of immortals. This kind of deception is easier for you, because you don't understand, but in our bones, we can't kill our love for Chinese civilization, be deceived because of love, and be deceived because of trust. If we don't care, we won't be deceived. If you don't love, you won't be sad.

Taoism is a religion with good and bad, tolerance and good and evil. What we do is to play its good side and avoid its bad side. Having said that, let's talk about the cultural view, specifically the historical and cultural view. Let's talk about the dominant party first: Some people say that Taizu was the dominant party and Qiu Chuji took refuge in the Mongols, just like some historians said that Yue Fei could not become a national hero because it is now owned by China, which is an internal contradiction. Others praised Shi Lang for taking refuge in the Manchu Dynasty, which was beneficial to national unity. This mentality is actually based on our own position to crusade. Everyone has his own place in history, so we can't change our culture to spit on Yue Fei and praise Qin Gui. When foreign enemies invade, we should promote national unity as soon as possible. In that case, in a few hundred years, East Asia will become a country, so we don't have to sing praises to anti-Japanese heroes. They will become evil forces that hinder national reunification.

Understand Taoism, most afraid of this concept. I look at the history of Taoism from my own standpoint. I first deny everything with colored glasses and judge whether everything is correct with my own right and wrong standards. I believe in Taoism and be myself. You can have passion, you can have emotions, but you can't always be in a state. Learning to look at yourself is simple and difficult.

Learn to face, face the darkness, face the sinister, face all the bad things in life; Life anywhere is not completely bright and dark. Learn to protect yourself while keeping a pure heart. But I believe that more people are learning to protect themselves than to be innocent, just like Chinese New Year. Why do they feel worse every year?

Because we have lost too much curiosity and too much expectation for the future. At the same time, I can better reconcile myself and be full of curiosity and hope for life. This hope, in my opinion, is the care and inheritance of traditional culture; Many friends think that culture has been almost destroyed, and our manners have been badly destroyed. But as long as we have this hope and this dream, we will work hard step by step. Again. Most people present here can't erase their deep affection for Chinese civilization and their imprint on the soul of Han and Tang civilizations. We can't succeed step by step, and we can't let future generations laugh at us for not working hard. In my opinion, Taoism is also such a carrier. The true self should be the self with national identity and belief identity.

Taoism carries too much hope, which may be unbearable now, even much more unbearable than its advantages, but this is not the reason why we lose hope. Cultivate Buddhism, truly integrate into life, remember in communication, remember in chatting, and never forget in gossip. Tao doesn't need to be proclaimed in the mouth, Tai Chi tattooed on the forehead, alchemy and geomantic omen all day long, practicing Tao, not being superstitious, practicing goodness and not being extreme.
