Dadong town geography

Dadong Town, formerly known as Chengjiaji and Dongcheng Ji, was renamed Dadong Town in the early years of the Republic of China. It is located in the Youyuji Plain under the Huaihe River, 33 degrees 45 minutes north latitude, 34 degrees 05 minutes east longitude and 1 19 degrees 1 19 degrees 35 minutes east longitude. The town covers an area of 68 square kilometers with 43,000 mu of cultivated land. Dadong Town has fertile land, pleasant climate and convenient transportation. Provincial Highway 327 passes through the town, and Ninglian First Class Highway, Beijing-Shanghai Expressway and Tongshan Expressway meet nearby. It is 0/2km from Lianshui County Government in the west, 80km from Lianyungang City, the east bridgehead of Eurasia Continental Bridge, 0/00km from Yancheng City in the east, and adjacent to Premier Zhou Enlai's hometown in the south. It is the main distribution center of agricultural and sideline products in Lianshui, Guannan, Xiangshui and Funing counties. Since ancient times, the market has flourished and industry and commerce have developed. With the deepening of reform and opening up, the establishment of market economy system and special preferential policies, Dadong Town has been given new development connotation. In recent years, Korean, Japanese, Taiwan Province and other businessmen have invested and set up factories here, and the infrastructure is improving day by day. Dadong has become a hot spot for domestic and foreign merchants to invest.
