The Historical Origin of leizhou song

Leizhou song is one of the four major dialect songs in Guangdong Province. Leizhou song, also known as Gray, is a folk song of Leizhou Peninsula.

Leizhou Peninsula, located at the southernmost tip of Chinese mainland, is one of the three largest peninsulas in China. Leizhou Song is located in Leizhou Peninsula 10 county (city) and the overseas Chinese area of Leizhou in Southeast Asian countries such as Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia where Leizhou people moved in history.

Leizhou Peninsula was founded in the Qin Dynasty and belongs to Xiang County. At that time, there were hundreds of ethnic minorities living in Vietnam. By the Eastern Jin Dynasty, the Han nationality in southern Fujian began to migrate to Leizhou Peninsula. In the fifth year of Tang Zhenguan, Chen Wenyu, a Han nationality, became the first secretariat of Leizhou, and a large number of Han talents from southern Fujian moved to Leizhou Peninsula. At present, most residents of Leizhou Peninsula are descendants of the ancestors of southern Fujian, and Leizhou dialect is a branch of the Minnan language family. After Minnan folk songs were introduced into Leizhou Peninsula, they gradually formed a unique Leizhou folk song, which is both ancient and novel.

According to historical records, leizhou song was popular in the Song Dynasty, and the song "Girl" was popular for more than 500 years, and the written test competition lasted for more than 200 years.
