Why is it a fallacy to judge the quality of a name by strokes?

Today, I have to explain once again that many online scoring systems for a name are really fallacies and harmful. The so-called scoring system is to judge the quality of a name according to the strokes and give you a score. In my opinion, this is very ridiculous. Chinese characters in China are no different from western letters. Chinese characters are constantly evolving.

It's Oracle Bone Inscriptions. You can go and have a look. Oracle Bone Inscriptions's strokes are very, very complicated. A word can have more than 200 strokes at most. Later, there were bronze inscriptions, and then there was Da Zhuan. Then in the Qin Dynasty, Prime Minister Li Si simplified it into Xiao Zhuan, which was implemented throughout the country. Because the Qin Dynasty had just unified the six countries at that time, and the characters of the six countries were not exactly the same (which also shows how absurd it is to judge the quality of a name by strokes), it is necessary to formulate a national unified standard. However, the strokes of Xiao Zhuan are still very complicated, which is not conducive to the popularization of culture, because it is impossible for ordinary people at the bottom to learn and understand such complicated Chinese characters. However, Oracle Bone Inscriptions, bronze inscriptions, Da Zhuan and Xiao Zhuan are also Chinese characters, and we can also see the words Xiao Zhuan on seals and some calligraphy works.

The reason why I say that using strokes to judge the quality of a name is sheer nonsense and fallacy is because the simplified Chinese characters used in Chinese mainland are completely different from the traditional Chinese characters and strokes used in Hong Kong and Taiwan, and even some traditional Chinese characters are written differently in Hong Kong and Taiwan. Simplified characters are used in Singapore, but some simplified characters are not exactly the same as those written in Chinese mainland. In the late 1970s, we even started to use "two simplified characters" in Chinese mainland, which was the second simplified character, but was later stopped by the government.

In traditional Chinese characters, every dynasty will adjust, improve or alienate some words for political needs. The most typical one is what Kong Yiji said, "Do you know the four ways to write Huizi?" If yes, if your name really echoes, which word should you use to calculate strokes? Isn't this completely insane?

In ancient China, there was a very unique system called taboo. In ancient times, the emperor, the emperor's father, the queen, the empress dowager and even the crown princes of some dynasties could not write the words in their names. For example, Li Shimin people can't write the word "citizen". What if I have to write these two words in the article? Either you use other words instead, or you write less to show your taboo. In addition, you must also deal with the words in your father's and grandfather's names in this way, otherwise it will be a big mistake. Even if you are admitted to the top scholar, once you find that the words on the test paper are not taboo, you will be deprived of honor and even beheaded.
