A brief introduction to the meritorious service of prodigy Zhuang

Zhuang Yougong (17 13- 1767) was born in Dongfeng, Chenghai County, Chaozhou (now Dongfeng, longhu district, Shantou City). His great-grandfather was born in Jinjiang, Fujian, and Zhuang Yougong's father moved from Chaozhou to Panyu. Zhuang Yougong was clever since childhood, and he didn't learn the Five Classics until he was 13 years old. After four years of Qianlong (1739), he was appointed as the top scholar, moved to Guanglu Siqing in 1744, got a bachelor's degree in cabinet in Tezhuo in 1746, moved to Beijing as the right assistant minister of the Ministry of War, and 1748 served as the assistant minister of the Ministry of Household Affairs. 1756 served as governor of Jiangnan, 1764 served as minister of punishments, and the following year served as assistant to university students. He was honest and honest all his life, diligent and loving the people, and took "diligent and loving the people, honest and self-motivated" as his official way. At that time, Jiangsu and Zhejiang were the concentrated places of national wealth, but they were often influenced by tides. As the governor of Jiangsu Province, he naturally took the construction of seawalls as his work center, and his thoughts and methods of water control still have reference significance today. In the thirty-second year of Qianlong (1767), he died in Fujian at the age of 55.
