Introduction to Sanggu Township

Sanggu Township, also known as Sangba Township, is located in the west of Xiayi County and the east of Shangqiu City, Henan Province. It is affiliated to Xiayi County, adjacent to Yucheng County in the west, Jiyang Town in the south, Li Ji Town in the north and He Ying Township in the east. It covers an area of 69.9 square kilometers and has a population of 48,733 (in 2006), including 202 non-agricultural registered permanent residence11and Hui people. It governs 33 administrative villages, 127 natural villages and 308 villagers' groups. The township government is located in Liyuan village on the east side of Sambaji, which is 15km away from the county seat.
