Nanshan Temple in Xining is the largest nun temple in Qinghai at present, and there must be one.

Nanzenji, also known as Nanshan Temple, is located at the northern foot of Fenghuang Mountain. It is said that in the Northern Song Dynasty, a temple had been built in Phoenix Mountain, forming a certain scale. During the Tongzhi period of Qing Dynasty, some temples were destroyed by war. Later, in the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty, after more than ten years of hard work, a large-scale temple complex was finally built. It is one of the well-preserved ancient buildings in Xining and an important place for local and surrounding Han Buddhism believers to carry out religious activities.

Fazhuang Temple, the largest Buddhist temple in Qinghai Province, is a transliteration of Sanskrit Bhikuni, which means a nun who became a monk at the age of 20 and was bound by her feet.
