How to explain these eight characters?

The "eight characters" are also called four pillars (year pillar, moon pillar, sun pillar and time pillar), each of which has two characters, above which are heavenly stems (A, B, C, D, E, Ji, Ke, Xin, Man and Ghost) and below which are earthly branches (Zi, Ugly, Yin, Mao, Chen, Si and Wu).

Eight-character (eight-character numerology, eight-character numerology) is a method to infer fate according to eight characters. (Source: Nanfeng Public Welfare College)

The eight characters began in the Tang Dynasty, with Nianzhu as the main body and Nian Ming as the life, supplemented by Yin Na's method of pushing life. In the Tang Dynasty, Li chose the four pillars of year, month, day and time to decide his own destiny. Han Yu, a great writer in the Tang Dynasty, wrote an epitaph for Li, saying that his fate was "never lost". In the Five Dynasties, Xu Ziping changed to Japanese occupation as my (Japanese master), focusing on the restraint of the five elements between the four pillars and the encounter between punishment and punishment, and carried it forward. The current eight-character divination is based on the Ziping method, so the eight-character numerology is also called Ziping method or Ziping eight-character science.

The eight characters are from the Book of Changes. Eight-character fortune-telling means that our destiny is known and predictable, and we can predict the fate by the time of birth. It provides a theoretical basis for us to reveal the movement law of human life in the natural "qi" of heaven and earth. "Qi" here is a variant of "shua". Heavenly stems are "heavenly stems" and earthly branches are "earthly branches".

Eight-character fortune telling is also called "Zi Shuping". This is because Xu Ziping made a comprehensive summary of previous fortune-telling and wrote the first eight-character monograph-Yuan Hai Zi Ping (a collection of Yuan Hai and Yuan Yuan), which made the eight-character fortune-telling develop rapidly, so later generations also called it Zi Shuping.

Chronological column: discard the 60-A subsequence, put your imaginary year of birth in it, and look back for the stems and branches related to the year of AD ... or compare the branches of the current year or the previous year, and you can also find the corresponding branches you need. If you were born in July 1987, you only know that this year is the Year of the Rabbit (Ding Mao) and don't know what year 1987 is.

Arranging Moon Columns: The heavenly stems and earthly branches Method of Moon Columns has such a formula in various life books:

In the first year, C was the first.

B Geng years old, E as the head,

Bing Xin looked for Geng at the beginning of the year.

Ding is downstream,

What to say and how to send it?

Good news is good at pursuing.

Here we see two functions of the twelve earthly branches: one is to indicate the year, corresponding to the zodiac: the child is a mouse, ugly is a cow, yin is a tiger, Mao is a rabbit, Chen is a dragon, a snake is a horse, a sheep is not a sheep, Shen is a monkey, you is a chicken, a dog is a dog and Hai is a pig. The second is used to represent the month, as mentioned earlier.
