The Historical Evolution of Qingyang County

The whole territory is descended from Xia Dynasty (about 2 1 century BC-0/6th century BC) and belongs to the territory of ancient Yangzhou.

In the late Spring and Autumn Period of the Eastern Zhou Dynasty (770 ~ 476 BC), it belonged to Wu, and most of the mountainous areas in the territory were inhabited by Shanyue people.
