Taoist theory of negative physique

In Taoism, feminine physique refers to a kind of physique that tends to be feminine, introverted, convergent and static. People with this constitution are usually sensitive, easily influenced by the external environment, with large emotional fluctuations and easy to feel tired and weak. In terms of personality, they are usually introverted, quiet, cautious, think more, do less, like being alone, and don't like being disturbed. Physiologically, they are usually thin, with flabby muscles, delicate skin, cold hands and feet, and easily feel cold and tired. In terms of diseases, they are prone to some diseases related to deficiency cold, blood stasis and qi stagnation, such as colds, coughs, stomachaches and insomnia.

For people with negative physique, Taoism suggests paying attention to maintaining their health, keeping a regular routine and eating habits, avoiding overwork and mood swings, and doing some moderate exercises, such as Tai Ji Chuan and Ba Duan Jin, to enhance their immunity and resistance. In addition, they can also adjust their physical and mental balance through some Taoist health preserving methods, such as alchemy, meditation and massage, so as to achieve the goal of health and longevity.
