The History and Culture of Xiapu, Fujian Province

Fujian Xiapu has a long history and culture. Jin Taikang was Marvin County for three years (governing the county in this ancient village of Jiangsha Town), belonging to Jin 'an County. Sui and Huang Kai merged into the original Fengxian County in nine years, and Tang Wude settled in Changxi County in six years (governing the county in today's Ling Wei Temple and then moved to Lianjiang), belonging to Quanzhou (state governing today's Fuzhou).

Now Xiapu was promoted to Funing Prefecture in the 23rd year of Yuan Dynasty, changed to county in the 2nd year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty, and belonged to Fuzhou Prefecture, which was restored in the 9th year of Chenghua.

The current Xiapu was changed to Funing House in the 12th year of Yongzheng in Qing Dynasty, and Xiapu in Guo Fu County was added. In the early years of the Republic of China, it belonged to Minhai Road. June 1949 and 17 belong to Fuan Special Zone (region), Ningde area and Ningde city.

Relying on the developed shipbuilding industry and convenient maritime transportation advantages, Xiapu ancestors first introduced tea-making technology from Jiangsu and Zhejiang, and began to plant, make and drink tea.
