Introduction to Guokeng

Guokeng Town is located in the north of longwen district, Zhangzhou City, with a total area of 36 square kilometers. It has jurisdiction over 7 administrative villages, 1 town farm and 3 neighborhood committees with a population of nearly 20,000. It is a satellite town and an industrial star town in Zhangzhou approved by the provincial government. Yingtan-xiamen railway and Zhangchang (State) Chang (Thailand) Highway pass through here. Guokeng Town is located at the north gate of Zhangzhou City, downstream of Jiangbei Creek in Jiulong City, bordering jiao mei zhen in Longhai City in the east, facing xiangcheng district and Chaoyang Town in longwen district across Beixi in the west, connecting Changtai County in the north, and near the exit of Longwen Interchange of Zhang Long Expressway. It is10km away from Zhangzhou City and 68km away from Xiamen Special Economic Zone. The provincial highway and suburban cypress line run through the town, and the yingtan-Xiamen railway runs through the town. Zhangzhou East Station in the town is located in the railway center from yingtan to Xiamen, with a mileage of 638.77 kilometers. It is a third-class passenger and freight station, track 12. In 2000, it sent nearly 70,000 tons of goods and reached 64,000 tons locally. In 2000, passengers sent10.3 million people, and 220,000 people arrived in the local area. Guokeng Town has become an important north-south cargo distribution center and passenger and cargo distribution center.
