Travel notes of Nuo opera hometown;

"Chu people believe in witches and ghosts, and there are songs and dances." Chizhou is the hometown of Wu Chu, and Nuo opera is very popular. As the old saying goes, "No village can be built without Nuo", commonly known as "Nuo Wozi".

I have read Yu's prose about Nuo Opera before, and have some superficial understanding of Nuo Opera.

When I was giving a lecture in Chizhou, I took time to go to the "hometown of Nuo Opera" park to see a series of sculptures and stones of Nuo Opera.

In the empty "Nuo nest" scene, I really feel that the villagers in southern Anhui seem to be building a historical logic of Nuo culture for me from ancient times to the present. In this corner of Qiupu River, they are dancing or chanting, and I will follow their movements and lyrics, whether bitter or bitter, or sweet or sweet. In their incisive indulgence, I will suck their ups and downs, feel their love and hate, and feel their sadness.

For example, there is a novel "The Judge mentioned that boy", which satirizes the secular psychology of people doing good and evil in order to get lucky. This makes me feel that the story is acting as a moral court, judging the meanness of human nature in the name of morality, and making people feel the philosophy of good and evil subtly.

There is also a story about villagers praying to heaven to drive away drought and rain. As a result, the immortal actually "moistens the seedlings with rain and dew".

Looking at the people in the story, laughing or crying, sad or happy, together with the powder and mask on their faces, are all condensed in this vivid image, but there is no self-pity and affectation. -Just guide the viewer to taste the bitterness and yearning of our nation, so as to verify that our civilization has reached a high sense of belonging today.

I visited this "Nuo Opera" nest and was deeply moved by many touching stories inside. Although these stories are closely connected with a community called Yuxiumen behind me, the people in the stories seem to avoid the bustling crowds of the contemporary era and only live in harmony with the birds and flowers around them.

It seems that they only have a sacred call and temptation to me as a fool, so that I can immerse myself in their laughter, singing and crying.
