Master Yin Guang told us to know our own life. He has a four-material book about the connection between life and heart. The first sentence is "good heart and good life, rich and old." Your life is good, your heart is good, it is a career, it is an idea. If we think well, our behavior and language will be good, our life will be good, and then we can be rich until we are old. The second sentence is "a good heart and a bad life turn disasters into blessings." If a person is kind-hearted and has a hard life, then his disaster will become a blessing. The ancients said that "a blessing in disguise is a blessing in disguise". Although some people live in poverty and suffer many disasters, Mencius tells us: "Heaven will be a great responsibility to the people of Sri Lanka, so we must first work hard for their aspirations, starve their bodies and bodies, and then we can endure and get what we can't do." Between heaven and earth, in life, there are tests everywhere, and you can improve yourself everywhere. If our hearts are weak, we can't improve ourselves and experience ourselves, life is life. . Good people have an important feature, that is, they can persist. To practice the good law is to persist. A layman is a vegetarian, but he doesn't eat cake, because there are eggs in the cake, which looks stubborn on the surface. Stubborn people have one advantage-they are easy to persist, and they will persist in doing good deeds to the end, but they also have one disadvantage, that is, they are difficult to change and cannot drag their feet like an old ox. People who do good deeds with good intentions will work hard if they don't have the strength to persist. If you don't do good deeds, your life will be easy; If you want to do good, it's like climbing a mountain. It's hard to climb. Therefore, persistence is very important. Anyone who can persist will have great power throughout his life. Fortune-tellers generally don't tell three kinds of fortune: the first kind is practitioners, especially monks. If we go to the fortune teller standing on the street and ask him to tell our fortune, almost no one dares to count. He can't tell the life of his family. Why is it inaccurate? Because the monk's whole outlook on life is different from that of his family. Although we eat the same meal, live in the same house, take the same road and learn the same classics every day. The whole concept is just different. For a simple example, if a layman goes out in rags and shoes on the first day of the first month, we think that this person is poor, too unlucky and too shameful; However, if a monk wears rags and shoes and says "Amitabha, Amitabha …", everyone there will say that this is an ancient practice. He will think to himself, "I am not dressed properly, I am practicing, and I am cherishing my blessings." Who in the family will say, "I am wearing rags and I am cherishing my happiness"? Very few, different ideas. If a family member will be locked in a room all his life and asked to deliver meals for three years, he will not be in another place unless he is in prison; But if a monk is imprisoned for three years and people send him food, he will do things with peace of mind every day. As soon as he comes out, everyone will say, "This master is closed!" "You see, the whole concept of becoming a monk and starting a family is different. Because different ideas lead to different fate, so ideas can change fate. Nowadays, in order to cater to all beings, or to entertain all beings and arouse the admiration of the public, most monks dress neatly and look very free and easy. In fact, the ancients said: I don't know how lucky I am to wear patchwork clothes. Why do you worship Buddha? Three steps and one worship of the four famous mountains are to convince "I am slow"; Being dressed in rags and looked down upon by others is also the best way to persuade "I am slow". As long as "I am slow" is convinced, my fate will change immediately; If "I am slow" is not convinced, it will be difficult to change my fate! When we become monks and practice Mahayana Buddhism, we will be physically and mentally stable and look solemn, which will make the laity happy, and at the same time, we can do the Tao with peace of mind and not be tempted. This is a self-serving and altruistic method. Therefore, we monks or Buddhists should do better and be solemn, because this is to set an example for all beings and let them see how free and easy we are; If we crave the outside, we are shut out by fate. The second is a soldier, and his life is not accurate. Why? Because being a soldier requires strong willpower, a good soldier must have very strong willpower, and he has to go through all kinds of training. So when he encounters bad things, he exercises himself, and his life will be changed by himself. The third kind is a martial arts person. Their willpower is also very strong and their lives are impermanent. So life may not be accurate. " If you have a kind heart and a bad life, disaster will become a blessing. "On the contrary, when we encounter disasters, we will learn lessons and learn more about life. Liao Jian's third sentence is "If your life is good, your good luck will become a bad omen". If you have a bad heart, you have a good life. For example, a person with high status and a lot of money has no kindness and sympathy. He wants to fool others every day, and the richer he is, the easier it is to do bad things. He can't control his own destiny, but he ruined his life because of his wealth and power. Some people ended up in prison because they didn't make good use of their power. Therefore, a person with a good life and a bad heart is the most dangerous. The fourth sentence is "born of bad heart, bitter and poor." "If you have a bad life and a bad heart, you will suffer, not only poor, but also short-lived.
