The most accurate difference between sunspots and pigmented nevus is the pathological examination of skin tissue. There are errors with the naked eye. Sporadic sunspots are usually small, mostly in the light-receiving parts. Pathological examination of skin tissue showed that epidermal pigment increased, epidermal process prolonged, and the number of melanocytes increased normally or slightly but did not aggregate into nests.

Pigmented nevus is not only an increase in melanin in the skin, but also an increase in the number of melanocytes that produce melanin. There are many kinds of sunspots, such as in-plane sunspots, actinic sunspots, sunspots and so on.

It is generally believed that sunspots have nothing to do with melanoma. Most small pigmented nevus are not malignant, which requires a dermatologist with pathological knowledge to make it clear. Many doctors don't know it themselves.
