An essay describing a spring outing in Tianchang Hongcaohu Wetland Park

Tianchang Zhicaohu Wetland Park is located between the urban area and Xicheng District, belonging to Chengxi Forest Farm, with a total area of about 1.800 mu. There are more than 80 thousand poplars and Taxodium ascendens in it. The park is surrounded by water on three sides, surrounded by dikes on three sides, with Tianqiao (built) first-class highway in the south, Baita River in the north, Chuanqiao River in the west and Laochuanqiao River in the east. The park is divided into South Lake and North Lake. The southwest of the park is a newly-opened industrial park, and the southeast is three large residential communities (Garden Community, Mingyuan Community and Ankang Community).

With the approval of the county party committee and government, the specific development project of Vanilla Lake implemented by Forestry Bureau was officially launched on 1989, and Chengxi Forest Farm was established to carry out land preparation and afforestation in the form of voluntary tree planting, which is also the first large-scale voluntary tree planting activity for the whole people in our city. Up to now, 1954 mu (including Huangjiahu Lake) has been planted, and the main tree species are Populus euphratica and Taxodium ascendens.
