The origin of the name of Shenze Arctic Station

Because it is located in the north of the city, it can climb to the North Pole and get things accurately, so it is called the North Pole Station. Hebei Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics (now Hebei Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology) carried out rescue archaeological excavations on three Yuan Dynasty tombs located in the southeast pipeline project of Dongguluo Village, Baizhuang Township, Shenze County, Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province. All three tombs are single-chamber tombs with circular vertical holes, and only a small amount of porcelain, copper coins and tiles have been unearthed. This is the first batch of Yuan Dynasty tombs excavated scientifically in this area, adding new materials for Yuan Dynasty archaeology in central Hebei. Dongguluo Cemetery is located in Dongguluo Village, Baizhuang Township, Shenze County, Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province, about 180 meters southeast, about 2 kilometers west of National Highway 230, and about 8.7 kilometers southwest of Shenze County. From August, 2065438 to August, 2009, in order to cooperate with the pipeline construction, Hebei Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics (now Hebei Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology) explored the land requisition area of the project, confirmed three tombs, and then carried out rescue excavation. The excavation area is adjacent to the cement road from Dongguluo Village to Wangjiazhuang Village in the west and the cultivated land boundary between the two villages in the south. Geographically, the area is about 6.7 kilometers from Dasha River in the north and 6.6 kilometers from Hutuo River in the south, and the surrounding terrain is flat.
