The whole town governs 1 community, 17 village committees: Yuqi Town Neighborhood Committee, Wumu Village, Huangniba Village, Wanli Village, Lishe Village, Xushe Village, Minzhu Village, Liming Village, Yudong Village, Yuqi Village, Yuxi Village, Rongdong Village, Ronghu Village, Rongnan Village, Ronglian Village and Rongzhong Village. The Town People's Government is located on the west side of Xiyu Road16km district government residence in Yuqi City. Yuqi Town has an excellent investment environment. It is located between Shanghai and Nanjing, in the northwest corner of Wuxi. The Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, beijing-shanghai railway, Shanghai-Nanjing Expressway and the Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway under construction all pass through the town. Shanghai-Nanjing Expressway also has interchanges in Yuqi, and the land and water transportation is very convenient. The roads in every village in the town are blacked out. At present, there are 6 100 program-controlled telephones in China, with more than 80% cable TV users and 100% tap water users. 1998 was rated as "Health Town of Jiangsu Province" by Jiangsu Province, and 1996 was listed as an advanced town in modern small town construction by the Ministry of Construction. 1998 successfully passed the acceptance of advanced towns of provincial education modernization and qualified towns of primary health care in Jiangsu province. It is an "advanced town of mass civilization" and "advanced town of mass sports", and was named as the only "hometown of tin opera" by Wuxi City.
