Brief introduction of Guandi temple

After the initial construction of the palace-style temple with a length of 120 ft and a width of 5/kloc-0 ft, Guandi Temple was rebuilt after several expansions, burning and reconstruction. The traditional symmetrical building has a single eaves and a peak, a cloister wing and a Chinese monk's house.

Guandi Temple, which combines architectural stone carving, porcelain carving and wood carving in one furnace, has reached the point of perfection. After hundreds of years of typhoons and earthquakes, it still stands tall and intact and is listed as a national first-class protection unit.

It is also known as one of the five famous Guandi temples in China and one of the top ten ancient temples in southern Fujian, along with the Guanling Temple in Dangyang, Hubei, Guanlin in Luoyang, Henan, Guandi Temple in Xiezhou, Shanxi and the hometown of Yuncheng, Shanxi.
