The history of shiji town

Shiji Town has a long history, and the villages in the territory were originally under the jurisdiction of Shuyang County. Shuyang County was established as early as the seventh year of Jiande in the Southern and Northern Dynasties (about 578 AD), and the towns of Shiji, Yanji, Xinhe and Yinping were all "Xixiang in Shuyang". During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Shuyang had nine townships and seventeen miles, and the Jiji area was under the jurisdiction of Liuji Town, four townships and two miles. 17 (1928) implements the district and township system, and the time is set as the jurisdiction of the second district of Shuyang. During the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression period, it successively belonged to Shuyang No.2 District, Songshan District of Toarey Yang County and Yuxi District. In the thirty-fourth year of the Republic of China (1945), when the city was established in February, it was still under the jurisdiction of Toarey Yang County. 1May, 949, it was assigned to Xin 'an County (later changed to Xinyi County).

1April, 956, the time pool was cancelled. 1957, the original gathering time zone was changed to gathering time township system. When 1958 was established, the people's commune was established and the township organizational system was cancelled. 1983, the commune system was abolished and the township system was restored, and it was renamed as Jiji Township. 1999: Withdraw villages and build towns. After the administrative division reform in 2002, the original three villages (Baishi Village, Hu Hao Village and Shandong Village) in Qiqiushan Township were successively placed under the jurisdiction of Shiji Town. Shiji Town has 18 administrative villages with a population of 48,000.
