Dongshan Ancient Temple in Longgang, Shenzhen

Dapeng Street, located in the east of Longgang, has been a treasure trove of outstanding people since ancient times. On the mountainside of Dapeng Bay, there is an ancient Dongshan Temple, which was built in the Ming Dynasty and rebuilt in the Qing Dynasty. It is listed as a key cultural relic protection unit in Shenzhen. Dongshan Ancient Temple is full of incense, attracting a large number of tourists from Hong Kong and Shenzhen to burn incense and pray every year.

Longyan Ancient Temple echoes Dongshan Temple from afar and is also a famous Dapeng Temple. It is located in Dapeng Street in the south of Wang Muwei, at the northern foot of Longshi Mountain. It was named after it was built on Longyan boulder. Longshi Mountain was renamed Guanyin Mountain because of this temple. Surprisingly, there is a clear spring in the cave under the altar of Kannonji. This spring is warm in winter and cool in summer, clear and sweet, with the effects of relieving summer heat, refreshing the mind and clearing the heart, and improving eyesight, and is known as "fairy water".
