Tayuansi

Tayuan Temple, located in the south of Xiantong Temple in Taihuai Town, Wutai Mountain, is one of the five famous Buddhist temples in Wutai Mountain. It used to be the pagoda of Xiantong Temple. After rebuilding the stupa in the Ming Dynasty, it became a separate temple. Because there is a big white pagoda in the courtyard, it is named Tayuan Temple.

The towering White Pagoda is the main symbol of this temple. The pagoda is called Sakyamuni Buddha Pagoda, commonly known as the Great White Pagoda. The tower rises from the ground and goes straight into the sky. Surrounded by Wutai Mountain Temple, it is quite spectacular. People regard it as a symbol of Wutai Mountain. Tayuan Temple is square, and its shape is like an algae bottle. It is thick and thin, and beautifully carved with Fiona Fang. The top of the tower is equipped with a copper roof, which is about five meters high and covers an area of more than twenty-one meters. Decorated with 36 overhangs, more than two meters long. Xiantong temple

Xiantong Temple is the largest temple in Wutai Mountain Temple Group. The whole temple covers an area of 43,700 square meters, with more than 400 large and small houses, most of which were built in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The hall and wings are arranged neatly, the central axis is clear and the hall is symmetrical. Located on the central axis, there are seven halls, from south to north, which are Guanyin Hall, Daxiong Hall, Daxiong Hall, Infinite Hall, Manjushri Hall, Bronze Hall and Tibetan Classics Hall in turn. In addition, there are bell towers, temples and various ancillary halls.

Zhenhaisi

Located on the west side of South Qingshui River in Taihuai Town, 5 kilometers away from Taihuai Town. Here, pine and cypress are luxuriant, and the winding path is secluded, which is an extremely quiet place. Zhenhai Temple is built on a steep stone pass with an altitude of 1600 meters. Because it is built on the mountain, the temples are patchwork, forming a stepped pattern from the mountainside to the top of the mountain. There are banner lions in front of the temple, and there are 100 halls and buildings in the temple. There are only four main halls left, namely, the Heavenly King Hall, the Ursa Major Hall, the Guanyin Hall and the Guan Gong Hall, among which the Guanyin Hall, also known as Manjusri Hall, has five Bodhisattvas and eighteen arhats on each side.

Wu Ye Temple

Manjusri Hall, facing east and west, was built in the 44th year of Wanli in Ming Dynasty. It has the width of three rooms, divided into two floors, and three eaves rest on the top of the mountain. The cornice is complex, connected from top to bottom, strong and decorative, and it is unique in Wutai Mountain Hall.

Precautions 1. Catering: The food in Wutai Mountain is expensive and tastes bad, so you can eat enough. Shanxi's soil and water are alkaline, so it is recommended to drink a teaspoon of Shanxi mature vinegar before three meals a day, which can be salty and comprehensive to prevent intestinal fatigue.
