Appreciation of Hanshanzi's Zen poem My Heart is Like Autumn Moon

My heart is like the moon in autumn.

Hanshanzi

My heart is like an autumn moon, and the blue pool water is clear and bright.

There is nothing better than Aaron. Teach me how to say it.

Notes on Hanshan Poems of Zen Family on page 503.

New singing method in vernacular Chinese

My heart is like the autumn moon, bright and flawless.

My heart is also like the water in Bitan Lake, clear and bright.

However, this is only a reluctant metaphor.

In fact, nothing can simulate my heart.

I really don't know what to say.

Let people understand my heart.

Analysis and appreciation

This is a famous sentence that expresses everyone's Buddha nature and is loved by many people. Hanshanzi used the autumn moon and Bitan to describe the clarity and brightness of Buddha's nature, but said that "there is nothing like ethics", indicating that even the autumn moon and Bitan cannot be used to describe the truth of Buddha's nature. No matter how good your article and eloquence are, there is no way to explain Buddha's nature in words.

Some people may ask, if Buddhism really belongs to everyone, why is everyone still an ordinary person? Moreover, the differences between people are so great!

Past Lives, once all the rage, set off an upsurge of exploring reincarnation in Taiwan Province Province. At the end of the book, the author Dr. Weiss described a dream in which he asked Gao Ling a question: "Why do you say that we are equal, but in fact we are not?" None of us are equal in virtue, temper, property, rights, ability, talent, wisdom and so on! "

Gao Ling answered him with a metaphor: "It's like everyone has a big diamond in their heart. Imagine a big diamond one foot square. It has a thousand faces, but its faces are covered with dust. The job of the soul is to clean these faces and make them glow again, reflecting the colors of the rainbow.

"Now, some people have washed a lot of faces to make diamonds shine. Others have only cleaned a few surfaces, so they can't shine yet. However, under the dust, everyone has a diamond in his heart. It's perfect, the only difference is the number of clean faces. But every diamond is the same and perfect. "

Gao Ling added: "When all sides are clean and can reflect a complete spectrum, the diamond will return to its original pure energy state. The light is still there, just like the steps of making diamonds are reversed, and all the pressure is reduced. Pure energy stays in the rainbow of light, and there is consciousness and knowledge in light. "

Finally, Gao Ling said, "All diamonds are perfect."

I think it is quite appropriate to quote this passage to interpret this poem.

There is an enlightened poem by the owner of Yushan Mountain in Chaling, which reads: "I have a pearl that has been dusty for a long time. Today, the dust is full of light, and Qian Shan is broken! "

The ancients used pearls to compare Buddha's nature, and Gaoling used diamonds to compare Buddha's nature, just to express the precious and bright characteristics of Buddha's nature. In fact, people who really see Buddha's nature will always say, "There is nothing like ethics. How to say it? " Gao Ling has repeatedly reminded us that the truth we say has been highly simplified to adapt to the limited state of consciousness of human beings, and the truth of the universe has not been fully understood by you at present.

Facing the mysterious universe, let's keep a modest mood.
