Dalingshan is located in the south-central part of Dongguan, covering an area of 95 square kilometers. It is a famous old revolutionary base area, the hometown of litchi, the hometown of Guanxiang and a famous furniture town. It has successively won the titles of National Ecological Town, China Green Town, National Health Town, National Civilized Village and Town, and National Demonstration Pilot.

Dalingshan is located in the core axis of Guangzhou-Shenzhen Science and Technology Innovation Corridor (Dongguan Section) and the central node of Dongguan, Songshan Lake and marina bay.
