The cause and effect of fortune telling
Here, first of all, we must solemnly clarify the statement: Buddhism forbids fortune telling! Anyone who wears a monk's costume or pretends to be at home telling fortune, fortune-telling, fortune-telling, and nonsense about good or bad luck is not a true disciple of the Buddha.
The Buddha really knows that the development of all things in the world has its inherent laws, that is, cause and effect, and that the decisive thinking that reveals the sufferings and joys of all beings is good and evil. Therefore, if we want to improve our destiny according to Buddhism, we must correct our mistakes and shortcomings from three aspects: body, mouth and heart (behavior, language and thought) and change our ways.
As a newcomer to Buddhism, if you want to settle down quickly and change your predicament according to Buddhism, you must first do the following:
First, piety and self-confidence
In Hua Yan Jing, it is said that "faith is the mother of virtue, which increases the good roots." Faith is the fundamental and key condition that determines whether we can benefit from Buddhism. Buddhism is the most perfect wisdom in the world, which can get rid of all sufferings and achieve happiness. In history, eminent monks, great virtues, maharajas and Shu Ren all benefited from the confidence of Buddhism, so I don't need to go into details here.
All living beings are rewarded by their karma, and karma is a respect for faith. If you try with a grain of salt, you are likely to complain that Buddhism has no effect. The whole world says that "sincerity is the spirit", which means piety and self-confidence.
Second, respectfully pray and recite the holy name.
The buddhas and bodhisattvas recorded in Buddhist scriptures are not fictional characters in folk fairy tales. They are awakens who can realize "self-awareness, awareness of others, and even awareness of perfection". They make use of the endless compassion and wisdom of all beings to make various changes among them.
All the names of buddhas and bodhisattvas have incredible merits, and they are the most auspicious and extraordinary names in the world. As the scripture says, "a thousand prayers are answered, and the sea of suffering is often a boat for people." 」
If we can recite the holy name with a pious and pure heart, we will get incredible induction and blessing. In history, there are countless stories of chanting holy names to avoid disaster. "On Great Wisdom" said: "In the sea of Buddha, only faith can advance, only faith can measure." I hope that someone who is predestined friends can break their doubts and gain great benefits.
Third, try to reflect and change the good.
Everything happens for a reason, just like people get sick, it must be the long-term accumulation of bad habits that leads to the emergence of diseases, and the obstacles and pains in life are also caused by their own bad habits in body, mouth and mind. "Good is the cause of pleasure and evil is the cause of suffering", which is an irrefutable truth since ancient times. When we encounter all kinds of adversity in life, we are most jealous of complaining. Not only does it not help, but it leads itself into a dead end and constantly expands the spread and influence of negative emotions.
The enlightened person mentioned in Buddhism is, first of all, able to reflect on himself from time to time. The Buddhist scriptures say that "everything is born of the heart", and our life and even the world in our eyes are all manifestations of our own hearts. For example, at the same time and place, people who are happy inside look at all external conditions as bright and upward, while people who are full of troubles inside look at all external conditions as dark.
All the obstacles in life begin with the bad karma accumulated in the past. The reason why all beings are puzzled and can't find the crux is because there is no wisdom, and the lack of wisdom is precisely because of the "separation of love and wisdom." The so-called "emotion", called "emotional attachment" in Buddhism, is also called "self-attachment", which means insisting on being yourself, taking all kinds of ideas over, thinking that there is only one person in the world who is "good" and all the mistakes are others', so my heart is full of complaints and grievances.
This kind of confusion in life will make us fall into a painful situation. Therefore, in order to stay away from all kinds of pain, people should always be ashamed and often save themselves.
In chapter forty-two, the Buddha said, "Shame is like an iron hook, which can make people break the law, so there is no substitute for it." If you leave shame, you will lose all your advantages. The guilty have good laws; If you are innocent, you are no different from other animals. 」
Confucius said, "I don't want anything but myself." Mencius also said: "Shame on the National People's Congress. If you get it, you will be a man, but if you lose it, you will be a beast. All the saints who fell from the sky showed us ways to improve our lives. If we don't follow them, there is no way out.
A Zen master once praised the portrait of Guanyin Bodhisattva:
Who will help you if you don't look back?
If I can change my mind, why should I be kind?
This statement is worth pondering.
Fourth, give alms and cultivate goodness.
Greed and meanness are another deep habit of all beings. People in distress in the world often come to the temple, mostly "rushing to make up lessons for the Buddha's feet", trading with the Buddha and Bodhisattva by burning incense, hoping that the Bodhisattva will bless the disaster and take refuge, and everything will go well.
This is actually a fluke, just like the return of hundreds of millions of wealth with low investment expectations, which is out of reach.
If you want to change the current adversity, eliminate disasters and take refuge, you must practice all kinds of good laws and accumulate virtue, and the method of accumulating virtue is the most fatal to your family. "Great Wisdom" said: "When you become a monk, you should observe precepts and give alms at home. Giving is called "the first paramita" in the Bodhisattva's six-degree practice (paramita is Sanskrit, translated as "degree").
Why is donation so unusual? Because all sentient beings are obsessed with love, with all kinds of troubles and pains brought by love, with their own bodies, with everything they have, and even "unmoved", they don't know that in the future, our hard-working relatives, friends and property will all leave us. Where can there be "me" or even "mine"? So the Buddha said, "Everything is Buddhism, like a dream bubble, like dew, like electricity, so look at it this way." 」
Life is a dream that all beings can't wake up. Instead of clinging to life and suffering all kinds of pains, it is better to see through the drama of life as soon as possible and give gifts to the property as soon as possible, so that not only can we get happiness at present, but we can also cultivate Futian for the future and plant reasons for happiness.
Such a simple truth, why can't all beings see through it! At that time, the ancestors said with emotion: "There is a clear road, and thousands of people refuse to go. 」
China has had the theory of "giving up" since ancient times, and Buddhist alms are similar to it. In Buddhism, the merits of giving are related to the heart and object of giving.
The so-called heart of giving, that is, the purpose of giving, is very small if it is only to eliminate bad karma for yourself. If it really benefits all sentient beings, and even hopes that all sentient beings will get the result of becoming Buddha, such merits and results are extremely unique.
The most perfect giving is the "giving without life" declared in the Diamond Sutra, but this is not the realm of ordinary people. Regarding the difference between merits and demerits caused by the image of Ingbush, Chapter 42 says: "Good people are not as good as bad people; There are thousands of good people in Qian Qian in the rice, and it is better to have five precepts in the rice. Five precepts and one meal are not as good as a beard meal; A meal with a million beards is not as good as a meal with a stone. Ten million tons of rice is not as good as a ANA meal. A meal of 100 million Anaheim is not as good as a meal of an arhat; Eating a billion arhats is not as good as eating a Buddha; It is better to eat10 billion Buddha than to eat 13 Buddha; It is better to have a meal than not to study, live, repair or get a license. 」
In addition, due to the complete merits of Buddhism, the kindness and good roots planted in Buddhism will get incredible results at present and in the future, which can quickly remove obstacles, increase prosperity and complete Buddhism.
"The Lotus Sutra of the Wonderful Method" says: "All laws are original and often cancel each other out. The Buddha has done his way and will become a Buddha in the afterlife. 」
From the above four aspects, this paper briefly discusses how to correctly face and solve various obstacles in life with Buddhism. The wisdom of Buddhism is profound and harmonious. The above opinions are just a glimpse of the leopard in your own hands, and it is difficult to make the best of it. If you want to go deep into Buddhist temples and gain great benefits, you must study and practice by yourself with faith and respect, otherwise you can only "waste the number of tourists, count their treasures and rule them without dividing." "Here, sincere prayer:
May someone predestined friends believe in Buddhism.
Get rid of all kinds of puzzles and always hold good ideas.
Free from all difficulties and hardships, everything you want is what you want.
Be happy in this life and become a Buddha in the afterlife.
