The main ritual of divination

The principle ceremony of divination? In ancient times, especially in the Spring and Autumn Period, a country used divination to solve any greater doubts, and this work was undertaken by specialized people. The soothsayers will use a quiet room exclusively and have a complete set of rituals (that is, rituals), such as bathing, burning incense and some prayers. The Divination Principle and Ceremony of the Book of Changes

1. The principle of divination: occupy nothing, occupy everything, and do not occupy it repeatedly for the same thing.

This sentence should be easy to understand, not much to explain.

What's the explanation for not taking it? Although many books (especially books about plum blossom changes) emphasize this point, the reasons are rarely mentioned or briefly described.

Why do you want to emphasize that you can only take action? Let me talk about my understanding.

In fact, I didn't fully understand the truth until I saw a sentence in a photo album a few years ago. This sentence is: good or bad luck is born at the beginning of the action, and success or failure depends on the decision.

Good luck is born at the beginning of action: that is to say, because of sports, because of various sports and actions, there will be good luck, and good luck will only exist or lead to good luck. Action is the starting point and fuse of good or bad luck. If there is chaos and silence, good or bad luck is uncertain. At this time, it is difficult to predict good or bad luck. Just like a story, it is difficult to determine whether one person lifts his leg and asks another person to go in or out. This is one reason why both Buddhism and Taoism value meditation or meditation. Buddha speaks discipline, determination and wisdom, and acts according to the discipline. Wisdom comes from determination. If the mind is uncertain and there are too many delusions and obsessions in it, it will naturally fall into cause and effect, which will naturally be accompanied by all kinds of good and bad luck, and there will be no real peace and freedom. But the meaning of this sentence is by no means to encourage everyone not to exercise, but to stay at home and lie quietly. If we understand this movement in this way, it is a narrow understanding. The meaning of movement here is very wide, such as yin dominating quietness and yang taking the initiative. Because the nature of exercise is different and the results are different, you can't give up eating just because you choke.

For us, sports include heart movements and movements. Let's think about it. Are there any happy things or painful things that we usually encounter that are not caused by our sports (heart movements and movements)? Therefore, we can also imagine that those truly virtuous monks and great virtues have much less troubles and pains than we should, because they are more quiet and better at subduing delusions than we are (Wang Weishi said: The twilight city is near an empty pool, and thoughts can conquer lust-dragons). The word Sakyamuni means: a person who is silent and benevolent. Let's experience it yourself.

So it should be clear now, because we can only go to divination when we are lucky or unlucky, otherwise it is tantamount to seeking fish from the edge of the tree. Therefore, sages and great virtues should emphasize non-occupation and non-occupation. Specifically, for example, if you want to travel, have nightmares, or encounter anything, you can take it, because it is already moving, and you can take both good and bad.

Don't ask for the same thing repeatedly: this sentence is also easy to understand, and it has been explained in the Book of Changes, that is, Meng Gua says:

Sue first. Blame again and again. If you blaspheme, don't sue.

The first interview will tell you the correct result. If it is repeated, it is blasphemy, and blasphemy will not tell you good or bad. Of course, this statement seems to involve ghosts and gods. You don't have to be persistent and serious about it. If you understand it deeply, you will find that this sentence has nothing to do with our understanding of ghosts and gods. However, since you want to use the Book of Changes to calculate hexagrams, you must abide by its rules (just like you have to abide by the four arithmetic rules when you study mathematics). You can't treat it as a joke, even if you have something to do, or if you are not satisfied with the result of the hexagrams, you should find several people to calculate the same hexagrams, for insurance or peace of mind. Results In many cases, the results calculated by different people are different (unless we interpret hexagrams in the same way) (original author: Yilin, Jiangnan)

Bottom line: It is very necessary to be pious and respectful (someone may ask: Who do you respect? Think of it as respect and awe for the laws of nature or the creator. Just like you go to the hospital for a physical examination, the doctor will tell you not to eat in the morning and to have an empty stomach. If you have to go to the physical examination with a burp, isn't it deliberate to find fault? This will naturally affect the correctness of the physical examination.
