What are the histological features and clinical manifestations of hyperthyroidism?

Histological characteristics: Follicular epithelial hyperplasia is columnar, forming papillary protrusions extending into the cavity. Colloids in follicles are thin or absent, and absorption vacuoles appear at the epithelial edge. Lymphocytes infiltrated the stroma and lymphoid follicles formed. The patient showed moderate diffuse goiter, increased basal metabolic rate and thyroxine level, and often appeared exophthalmos, so it was also called exophthalmos.
