Introduction of the Fifth Geda Living Buddha

The fifth Geda Living Buddha, whose legal name is Lausanne Dengzhen Zabatta Ye, 1902 was born in a poor peasant family in Desidi Village, Baili Township, Ganzi County. At the age of seven, he was recognized as a living Buddha in Ganzi Baili Lama Temple. Eight years later, he got a Gesi degree. He is a Tibetan leader and a friend of the Red Army. Geda Living Buddha was appointed as a member of Southwest Military and Political Committee, vice chairman of Xikang Provincial People's Government, member of Kangding Arms Control Committee and member of Southwest Ethnic Affairs Committee.
