Are Ningxia and Yinchuan the same place?

According to Baidu Encyclopedia, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, referred to as "Ning" for short, is the provincial administrative region of People's Republic of China (PRC) (China), and Yinchuan, the capital, is one of the five minority autonomous regions in China. Yinchuan, referred to as "Silver" for short, was called "Xingqing House" in ancient times, also known as "Phoenix City". It is the prefecture-level city and capital of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, and an important central city in northwest China determined by the State Council. So Ningxia and Yinchuan are not the same place.

In the 24th year of Yuan Dynasty (1287), the government road of Ningxia was established, hence the name Ningxia. Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region is one of the birthplaces of ancient civilization in China. As early as 30,000 years ago in the Paleolithic Age, human beings thrived here, and Li Yuanhao, the leader of the Tangut, established the Xixia Dynasty and formed the Xixia culture here. Yinchuan's comprehensive competitiveness ranks among the top 100 cities in China, and it has successively won the titles of national civilized city, national water-saving city, national sanitary city, national garden city, national environmental protection model city, and China's human settlement environment model award, and has been rated as one of the "Top Ten New Riches in China".
