Located in the northeast of Jiangxi Province, it borders Jiangshan City, Zhejiang Province in the east, Yushan County in the north, Shangrao County and Xinzhou District in Shangrao City in the west, and Pucheng County and Chong 'an County in Fujian Province in the south. The area is 62.5 kilometers long from north to south and 45 kilometers wide from east to west. Guangfeng was founded in the Tang Dynasty, formerly known as Yongfeng, and was renamed Guangfeng in the 10th year of Yongzheng (1732).
