What does longevity tablet mean?

What is the position of the immortal?

That's the Hong Kong dialect. According to our mainland, this is the location of the tomb.

When we carefully read the contents of the Book of Burial, we will know that the so-called "geomantic method, water first, wind second" needs topography, that is, the "four elephants" that we pay attention to when choosing graves. Today, we can see the "chair" tomb in the south (especially in some areas of Jiangxi Province). "Chair" refers to the "plush chair" with "handrails" on the left and right, followed by "leaning". In the natural environment, it is difficult to find the ideal "four images" of "Zuo Qinglong, Right White Tiger, Former Suzaku and Later Xuanwu", so people use this man-made "geographical small environment" to bury the dead and seek psychological comfort. At the time of burial, the head of the deceased in the coffin faces the north "Xuanwu", the feet face the south "Suzaku", the left hand holds the "Dragon" and the right hand holds the "White Tiger", and an open "Tang Ming" scene is in front of him (generally, it is called "Tang Ming" with flat terrain and rivers or ponds in the south). Such a small geographical environment can "hide the wind and get water", which is a nominal "land of feng shui" that meets the requirements of the book of burial. In feudal society, if you are an emperor or princess, you are eligible to choose the real "four elephants" in the natural environment: there are photos in front (vast land, water like a mirror), a back (high mountain), Zuo Qinglong (small long mountain) and right white tiger (small mountain), such as the Twelve Mausoleums of the Ming Dynasty (Changping), Zhaoling of the Qing Dynasty (Shenyang) and Thailand.

"Burial Book" said: "Those who cover their lives, those who gather gas and solidify their bones, die and stay alone. Therefore, the burials live in the shade with their backs together. " The ancients said that everything was born of the sum of heaven and earth. Creating a "concentrated" and "infiltrated" environment for the dead will be "born in the shadow". Not only can the deceased be reincarnated as soon as possible, but it can also have a "blessing" effect on their descendants. These "Feng Shui" sermons are closely related to the dead. "Burial Book" also said: "Those who hide in dryness should be deep, and those who hide in comfort should be shallow." For the choice of "Yangzhai", there is no problem of deep hiding or shallow hiding. Only for the choice of "Yin House", the depth of the tomb depends on the terrain and groundwater conditions.

The so-called "four elephants" ideal place in the burial book is not found in all parts of the country. In the south, such as Jiangxi, Hunan, Guangdong, Guangxi, Fujian, Zhejiang and other places, there are many hills, rivers, lakes and ponds. The so-called "geomantic omen" technique in "Funeral Classics" is produced because of this terrain. Therefore, geographical geomantic omen is mainly "formal" in Jiangxi, while "rational" in Fujian and Zhejiang. In Zhongzhou, the ancient capital of three generations, Henan Province, because it is located in the plain, it is impossible to choose an ideal tomb with the view of burial books. In ancient times, there was a "righteous tomb" where hundreds of dead people were buried. Take the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period as an example. A small country with few people can only be buried in its own territory. Take counties as an example, Zhong Yi can only be within the boundaries of counties. Take individual small-scale peasant economy as an example. Most of the dead people are buried in their own farmland. Judging from the recent archaeological achievements, Luoyang, the ancient capital of the Six Dynasties, will build a "cultural square". During the construction, the site of the "Six Drivers of the Emperor" was excavated. It turned out that the flat land was actually the burial place of the ancient "emperor". Beimang in Luoyang was an ancient burial place in the Six Dynasties. Farmers had to use Luoyang shovel on their contracted land, which was the same as looking for the burial place of Emperor Liujia, indicating that people chose Luoyang's burial place not only in Beimang, but also in its flat place in the Six Dynasties. At the same time, it also shows that in Luoyang, when people choose graves, they can't choose according to the burial books, and they all ask what the "four elephants" are. We can also analyze the ancient people's choice of tombs from the archaeological discoveries of "Yin Ruins" in Anyang and "Xia Ruins" in Erlitou. In Erlitou Xia Dynasty, there were scattered tombs under the ground and inside and outside the city walls, indicating that later people built the "Yangzhai" on the cemetery of the deceased. There are many ancient tombs on the south slope of the north side of Wuguan Village on the north bank of He Huan River in Anyang, which seems to be a choice of "Xuanwu" and "Suzaku". However, according to archaeological maps, there are ancient tombs in all directions in Anyang, which shows that people with conditions in ancient times can choose the "ideal cemetery", while those without conditions can only bury the dead in their own fields. We can also give a few modern examples. There is a place called "Northbound" in Huanggu District, Shenyang City, Liaoning Province. Before liberation, there was a large piece of land called "Four Flagpoles", which was a "righteous grave" where thousands of dead were buried. In the first few years after liberation, people sentenced to death were shot there from time to time. 1956, the government decided to remove all the bones of the "four flagpoles" cemetery. A year later, many bungalows appeared in the leveled area. Now, there are many high-rise buildings in that place, which has become a bustling business district. In the plain area of China, with the continuous increase of population and the gradual expansion of building area, the living will compete for the site of the dead, and the dead who were originally in the "suburbs" on all sides must make room for the living. It used to be inhabited by the dead, but now it has become a place where the living live. This is the actual situation in most plain areas. For another example, there are many place names with the word "grave" in Beijing today, such as Bawangfen, Taizi grave, princess grave, Wangye grave, Zhengwangfen, general grave, Liu princess grave, Jiujiafen, Chajiafen, Tiejiafen, Jiajiafen, Chaijiafen, Suojiafen, Huangjiafen, Caojiafen, Jiangjiafen, Jiaojiafen and Jiaojiafen. Although these places are nominally graves of the dead, they are actually high-rise buildings where the living live. This is the concrete fact that "people fight for ghost territory" in ancient times and even in modern times. It can be seen that the theory of "feng shui" in the book of burial has limitations in time and space. As far as Beijing is concerned, there are hundreds of cemeteries outside the Forbidden City in Qing Dynasty, as well as the tombs of princes, nobles and princesses. These "geomantic treasures", which were valued by Mr. Feng Shui at first, were said to be "hiding the wind to get water, turning anger into bones and being born in the shade", but now they have completely become the site of "Yang Zhai". In this case, the owner of the high-rise residential building built on the basis of the original grave invited "Feng Shui Master" to see "Home Feng Shui". How will it be "complete"? If we use the definition of "Feng Shui" in Funeral Book to analyze, because it used to be the territory of the dead, we should use the concept of "Feng Shui" to serve the dead to see how to "hide the wind and get water, gather life". If so, it seems natural to call it "home feng shui". The problem is that in this "geomantic treasure land" that once made the dead "get angry and live in the shadow", now the "Yang Zhai" building has been built. So, is this "land of geomantic omen" the need of living people living here? Besides, how can there be a problem of "Feng Shui" if the "Yang Zhai" building is not built on the basis of a cemetery? A family, who asked the bedroom to be "angry" and who asked the bedroom to be "born in the shade"? A family, where is "photo" and where is "dependence"? Not to mention "dragon" and "tiger"!

We should be very soberly aware today that today's so-called "Feng Shui" is not the so-called "Feng Shui" in the past. The connotation of "Feng Shui" in ancient burial books has been greatly extended today, from "technology" for the dead to "technology" mainly for the living. This is the history and reality of the development and evolution of "Feng Shui culture". More interestingly, the concept of "Feng Shui" seems to have become a very fashionable word, and there are even titles such as "Feng Shui for further study" and "Feng Shui for love". It can be seen that the connotation of the concept of "Feng Shui" seems to extend to an all-encompassing and unimaginable degree. "Zhouyi? The copula says that "man doesn't know his daily use" and "man is salty and uses it as a god". Probably because of the mysterious color of the concept of "Feng Shui", is there today's reality? For example, if we build a "villa" with the choice and layout of geographical environment, we will make the past serve the present. However, because some property buyers believe in "Feng Shui", some "Feng Shui masters" benefit both buyers and sellers of real estate, and even the more they call themselves "ancestors", the more they benefit. In fact, the "feng shui masters" in the society today are people with low education level and little knowledge of ancient "feng shui culture". Some people even just hold a "Feng Shui compass" in their hands, and even show people the "Yang Zhai Feng Shui" which reads "Nine Planets Divination". This is really a "ghost blessing and people". We should face up to people's psychology of "seeking happiness" and "keeping peace" when buying a house, and actively advocate the use of scientific knowledge to choose to buy real estate, instead of giving this "position" to those "Feng Shui masters" in society. An example is very illustrative: there is a newly-built residential area on the east side of the five-hole bridge in Beijing's West Fourth Ring Road. It is said that a German architect drew a "dragon" because of the shape of the plot, so the seven buildings he built were "end to end", and the "dragon head" was just outside the Fourth Ring Road 100 meters. Many property buyers listened to the "Feng Shui Theory" of "riding a faucet" and "occupying longan", but the result was that noise, automobile exhaust and dust had a great influence on her. This is really a bitter story. If we choose "dragon waist" or "dragon tail", the environmental pollution will be much more serious. In daily life, how to reduce the troubles caused by environmental pollution is much more realistic than the so-called "spiritual comfort" given by riding a faucet.
