Root and force have the same five psychological centers, although the functions of these two groups are different. The root is the heart that plays a dominant role within its scope; The strength is that these hearts will not be shaken by the law of opposites. So five are in their respective adhimokkha, paggaha, upa? Hāna), avikkhepa, and dassana to perform its dominant role; In this way, they help to deal with opposites: indecision, slackness, forgetfulness, confusion and stupidity. Five forces are the unshakable and invincible side of these five laws that are not opposed to each other. When cultivating five roots, we must balance faith and wisdom and avoid blind faith and cunning at both ends; And balance diligence and stability to avoid distraction, irritability and weakness. However, at any time, we must have a strong root of mindfulness, because mindfulness can take care of the ascension of other roots and ensure their balance.
Root is function, strength is strength and ability. The process from developing function to improving ability is the process of cultivating five forces. The result of five maturity is to gain five powers. This ability refers to the ability to overcome or solve obstacles.
Five roots: faithful root, diligent root, regular root, fixed root and intellectual root, collectively called five roots.
These five roots can be divided into two groups: dense roots and fixed roots are one group; Shingen and Huigen are a group. Dense roots tend to be dynamic, fixed roots tend to be static, and only dynamic and static are balanced; Belief root and wisdom root are a group. The root of belief is perceptual, and the root of wisdom is rational. Only when sensibility and rationality reach a balance can it be called the middle way.
Among these five roots, dense roots and fixed roots should be balanced.
The root of diligence refers to hard work or internal vitality and motivation;
Rooting means inner peace.
If a meditator is too diligent, it will make people restless and unable to calm down. If the meditator is too diligent, he will feel dizzy, his head will be raised, his body will be tense, or his heart will be agitated. However, if the fixed root is too strong and the intensive root is not enough, people will become lazy, listless and stagnant, that is, too calm, too static to move and too fixed, so it becomes an imbalance between the fixed root and the intensive root. The balance between fixed roots and diligent roots is actually to achieve continuous diligence on the premise of inner peace. If there is no diligence based on calm, it will become excessively uneasy. However, if you are calm without diligence, you will become excessively lazy and have no vitality and motivation.
For the other group, the same is true for Shingen and Huigen. If a person's faith is too strong, it is easy to become superstitious, cult of personality and religious fanaticism. For example, when the master comes and the guru comes, it is said that he knows how to bless, he can help you eliminate karma, he is very effective, and he can also tell your fortune, so everyone swarms over and blindly follows. This is called excessive belief and insufficient wisdom.
However, for those of us who study Buddhism, Huigen cannot go too far. Just like some scholars, they are full of knowledge, gushing, quoting classics, searching chapters and sentences. But if you calm him down and sit down, he can't sit still like a monkey. If you let him really meditate, he can't sit still. But if you ask him to comment, he can help you. He will help you for a day and a night. If a person is too knowledgeable, he will become easily criticized. He is too logical and speculative and becomes very picky. Therefore, in meditation, the diligent roots and the fixed roots should be balanced, and the faithful roots and the wise roots should also be balanced, that is, the dynamic and the static, the emotion and the reason should be balanced.
But for the reviser, in the stage of cultivating concentration, even if the belief is strong, it is appropriate, so relying on faith and belief will prove to be safe. It is appropriate for a revisionist to have a strong sense of context, so that he can prove it. In other words, it is appropriate for a meditator to cultivate concentration in the process of cultivating concentration and wisdom, because only in this way can he prove calm. For meditators, it is appropriate to be wise and strong, so as to gain access to impermanence, suffering and selflessness. But the balance between the two can be stopped. That is to say, the five roots should be balanced, that is, the diligent roots and the fixed roots should be balanced, and the faithful roots and the intellectual roots should be balanced. However, when we cultivate meditation, meditation and wisdom, they also have a little emphasis. When revising, it is advisable to have a stronger letter root, a stronger letter root and a weaker wisdom root. Why? Because the letter root is more sensitive, its heart is easier to invest. And Huigen, because Huigen often looks away from the edge, he can see clearly.
Of course, if it is time to practice ideas and Vipassana, then the roots of wisdom will be stronger and the roots of faith will not be too strong. With strong wisdom, we can observe objectively and calmly, that is, we can observe truthfully. If too many emotional factors are involved, we will become impossible to be true, because we can't rely on imagination to cultivate concepts. As you can see, you should observe it, so wisdom should be very powerful at that time. That is to say, we should combine the heart with what we belong to. Wisdom means pulling the heart away from what we belong to, and finally pulling away all the ways to get rid of it.
If your heart rejects what you want too much, you can't cultivate concentration. If your heart is too attached to the edge, your wisdom cannot be born. However, whether it is a group of loyal and wise people, whether it is a group of hardworking and determined people, everything is strong and appropriate. It can protect the heart from falling into the elevator because of faithfulness, diligence and wisdom, and from falling into slack because of the tendency to slack off. In other words,' thinking' is appropriate at any time. As we said, salt can be put in soup, a little bit in rice or vegetables, right? Everything is suitable. Suitable for our seasoning, add some salt, and mindfulness is the same. No matter when we are cultivating the roots of faith, diligence, wisdom and determination, we all need to have thoughts, and thoughts are to sink our hearts into the edge. Whether the cultivation of concentration needs the protection of this mindfulness, so does the cultivation of wisdom. Only when we reach five kinds of balance can balance go to the middle. Faith, progress, correctness, determination and wisdom are also the methods of cultivating the mind taught by the Buddha. If your heart is completely happy and joyful, then you must improve these five forces.
? Similarly, if these five forces are promoted, your greed, ego, regret and doubt will naturally disappear. When these five forces are promoted, these pollution troubles will naturally decline, which will become a natural result and come naturally.
Until all pollution troubles stop, these five forces will continue to increase.
To improve this kind of heart, we must see:
What is a letter? What is the legal value of the letter to you? How to cancel the letter?
What is diligence? What is the legal value that diligence brings to you? How to improve diligence?
What is reading? What is the legal value of reading? How to raise your heart?
What is fixed? What is the legal value of setting? How to improve your position?
What is wisdom? What is the legal value that Hui brings to you? How to improve intelligence?
If you know these things clearly, when you pass the Buddha's teaching method, you will find that the mind can easily improve Buddhism in this way.
What is a letter? Why do we need letters? Why are we here?
It is because the teaching method here makes us feel that the Buddha's teaching method is very good, so we are here. If we don't believe that the teachings of the Buddha are here, we won't follow them here. That's why we think the Buddha's teaching method is correct. This is faith.
This letter can strengthen our hearts, and confidence is the most important basic component. If this ingredient exists, once our confidence is improved, it will have a clarifying effect, which will not only purify our hearts and blood, but also make our nervous system flourish. Therefore, sometimes when our self-confidence comes, tears will slide down, which is why it will make our hearts clear and our nervous system comfortable. That's what letters do.
Faith is improved, and the result of pure heart is temporary, which will easily correspond to the law. If the faith is strong, the function of cleaning the heart and blood will be maintained more continuously.
Know the value of a letter, how to promote it, and then promote it.
What is diligence?
Without diligence, we can't do anything and don't want to meditate. When diligence is weak, we don't want to do anything Therefore, diligence is a continuous force that will keep us going. Therefore, when diligence declines, this person cannot practice. Therefore, diligence has been supporting us. Before we achieve nirvana, we must keep this diligence.
What is mindfulness?
Mindfulness means always keeping your thoughts in the present. For example, when you are waving a fan, your body and hands are sensing his movements. This is your mindfulness.
If mindfulness is absent, you are waving this fan, but your heart doesn't know where to fly. If your heart is not there, so is mindfulness.
Mindfulness is a very important factor in meditation. We just need to be aware of what we are facing now. For example, when we are reading, our mind is not in the book and there is no mindfulness. When we read Buddha, we have many delusions and no mindfulness. Therefore, when we are chanting and reading, we must keep this concentration on it.
When reciting, listening to the voice of the moment, or pondering its meaning, or reading his words, all these can bring mindfulness.
Without this, we are all doing the same thing, just like a delusion, and the two are combined. Therefore, a good function of mindfulness is to tell you that this is correct and this is incorrect, because when mindfulness is present, you can clearly know whether it is correct or not. When you know whether it is right or not, it means that consciousness exists. When you are conscious, it means that others are sleeping. When the thief comes, you can know that this kind of mindfulness and awareness can let you know that this kind of kindness has come and that it has come from the heart. At this time, you will know to stick to it and know that the bad idea has come from the heart. It is very important to lower him by practicing, and we must improve mindfulness.
What is fixed?
The temporary function of setting is to clean the mind and block pollution troubles. Therefore, when you set it, the trouble of pollution will not come. If we are in the setting, just like we are on the top of the mountain, we can see the mess below, like snakes, and so on. They can't get on, and the settings are the same. The trouble of pollution can't run to the heart, because it is at a relatively high stage. If these problems are solved, they can be controlled.
What is wisdom?
Wisdom is a kind of insight, that is, you can see through the truth of things deeply, just like seeing a water bottle. Aquarius is just a concept, but if you look inward, you can see to some extent what structure it is, what components it has, how it works and so on. , is a certain degree of wisdom. For example, if you see a great car, if you use your wisdom, you will penetrate it and see the parts, combinations and structures inside. The same is true for our body and mind. If you can see through the body and mind, you will see that the body is only made up of 32 organs, and all of them are made up of small elements, then your wisdom will be improved, and so will the mind. When you see this good heart and bad heart, whether it is necessary or not, you should improve it and reduce it. This is all wisdom. Seeing life and death is wisdom, and seeing cause and effect is also wisdom. All the wisdom mentioned above was taught by the Buddha.
Therefore, we should follow the teachings of the Buddha. If we can follow and understand, it will be easier for us to grow up in wisdom and have a clear mind. Until we realize that we must follow these practices and keep practicing.
These five forces, like plants, can all grow. For example, if you give the letter unnecessary factors, it will slide down. If you give the necessary factors, you will see that the letters have been growing. Everything else is the same. All five forces can increase and become very powerful, but the most important thing is that you can only grow if you give them factors. If you don't give them factors, it won't grow. If you give mindfulness today.
