The abbot of Hongfa Temple is the great monk Yin Shun.

Yin Shun monk, also known as Master Yin Shun, was born in Xiangyang City, Hubei Province. In 2000, Elder Li Benhuan shaved his head when he was a teacher at Hongfa Temple in Shenzhen. He is a descendant of the 45th generation of Lin Jizong. Graduated from Philosophy Department of Peking University, and received a doctorate in Buddhism from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand. In 2008, he was promoted to the abbot of Hongfa Temple in Shenzhen and served as the president of Shenzhen Buddhist Association.

He is currently a member of the Standing Committee of Guangdong Provincial Political Consultative Conference, abbot of Hongfa Temple in Shenzhen, vice president of Chinese Culture Promotion Association, vice president of Chinese Buddhist Association, president of Shenzhen Buddhist Association and president of Hainan Buddhist Association. He also serves as Hongyuan Temple, Wanfo Temple, Dahuaxing Temple and longxing temple Abbot.
