Xi 'an Bell Tower and Drum Tower

Strolling through the ancient capital Xi, I personally felt the profound cultural heritage and long history of this city. The ancient city wall in Ming Dynasty is the most representative building. In addition to its inherent solemnity and majesty, the ancient city wall at night adds a little mystery, just like a loyal guardian standing in the center of Xi 'an, guarding and witnessing the development and changes of the city. The bell tower and drum tower are also one of them.

The bell tower is another landmark of Xi, which was built in the Ming Dynasty. The bell tower is built on a square base, with brick and wood structure, three eaves and four corners, with a total height of 36 meters and a length of 35.5 meters on each side, covering an area of 1.377 square meters. There are spiraling stairs. The eaves are covered with dark green glazed tiles, the building is decorated with gold and Qi Diao beams, and the top is covered with gold-plated treasures, which is magnificent. Taking it as the center, it radiates four streets in the east, south, west and north, which are connected with the east, south, west and north gate of the Ming city wall respectively. The surrounding business district is one of the busiest places in Xi.

Drum tower-stands in the northwest of the bell tower, 500 meters apart, and is located in the south of the north courtyard gate. In ancient times, there were morning bells and evening drums. The Drum Tower was also built in the Ming Dynasty, which, like the bell tower, verifies the changes of the times. In addition to beautiful architectural paintings and drums, there are plaques in the south and north, and the words "Wu Wen Sheng Di" are written in the south. It says "I heard it in the sky" on the north. These two plaques were once called two "pearls" embedded in the drum tower of Xi 'an, and they experienced the storm together with the drum tower.
