Shun, the legendary ancient emperor and one of the Five Emperors, whose surname is Yao, whose name is Zhonghua, and whose name is Yu Shun in posthumous title, is the son of You, and he has been very filial to his parents since childhood. His father is an honest and kind farmer. Shun's stepmother and half-brother often speak ill of their father because of their poor family.
