Folk custom of Maling Mountain

There is a cliff not far from the south of Wuhuaping in Maling Mountain. There is a hole at the bottom of the wall, which is eight feet high, nine feet wide and twelve feet deep. This is the famous Sanxian Cave. Legend has it that once upon a time there was a young man selling fish in Shandong, pushing a load of fish to the south to sell. On the way, I met an old man with white hair and went over to ask him where he came from and where he was going. The young man said that he was from Shandong and went to Suqian and Huai 'an. The old man took out a letter and asked the young man to take it to one of his friends, asking the young man not to forget to go up the mountain to look for the "fairy cave" when he passed the Siwu village where his friend lived.

The young man came to the foot of Maling Mountain and found an inn in Siwu Village. Seeing that it was still dark, he went out to look for the old man's friends. The mountain is foggy and very quiet. There is a hole in the cliff, and the surrounding trees block out the sun. Under the tree, two old people are squatting in front of a stone table to play chess. Seeing that the old man was in a good mood, the young man was embarrassed to disturb him, so he watched it and unconsciously watched three sets. It's not dark yet, but it's dark, bright, green and yellow. It feels strange.

It was not until the two old people finished playing chess that the young people explained the reason and gave them the letter. The two old people are very happy. They left the young man there for dinner and accompanied him around after dinner. The young man thought that he couldn't stand it anymore and wanted to go back to the store for a rest tomorrow. He hurried out of the mountain and came to the village, but he couldn't find the original inn. I hurried to ask an old man. The old man said, "This is the village, but there has been no inn here for many years. I heard from my grandfather that there is an inn here. Once, a young man who went to the countryside pushed a load of fish to stay in an inn, went up the mountain to play, and never came back. A car full of fish is rotten in the shop, and the car is rotten, leaving only one handlebar. " Hearing this, the fishmonger was surprised and helpless and had to go home empty-handed.

When I came to my hometown in Shandong, I saw that all the villages had changed, and all the villages had not found their own doors. Just then, two middle-aged people came forward to ask questions. After hearing this, the middle-aged man opened his eyes wide and said, "Our ancestors were all like this. Why do you ask these questions? " The young man said quickly, "I sell fish." I can't find the door when I go home today. " Hearing this, the two middle-aged people were furious, cursing and beating: "Where did you come from, dare to pretend to be my ancestor, or I will kill you!" The fishmonger was beaten to nothing, so he had to go back to Malingshan to find the old man playing chess. When I came to Malingshan, I saw two old people still playing chess. This time, he couldn't hold it any longer. He stepped forward and asked, "Two old people, I was watching chess here that day. Why has everything changed since I went back? I have no home! " Hearing this, they laughed and said, "When you were watching chess, the world had passed 300 years. Look at the leaves turning green and yellow, that's a year. " Hearing this, the fishmonger was surprised.

"So you are ...? ""We have been practicing here for more than 3,000 years, and we will surely achieve positive results. You should also practice here. " The young man thought, "No matter what, no one will recognize me when I go back."

From then on, the young man stayed in Malingshan to play chess with two immortals, and they became immortals together, hence the name Sanxian Cave. One in the south of Malingshan moved down the well. Why is it called underground movement?

According to legend, Yang Erlang has an adoptive father. Jiro lived with him for six years before breaking up and never saw him again. Because Yang Erlang is a demigod, he went to heaven to find his mother when he grew up. The jade emperor asked him to come to benefit the world before allowing mother and son to meet. So Erlangna Mountain reclaimed the sea and made land for mankind. Once, Jiro carried two mountains to the East China Sea. When passing through the south of Maling Mountain, I saw an old man sitting there having a rest. They looked at each other and felt familiar. So Jiro put down his burden and came to the old man. The old man saw that it was his son, carrying two mountains, and asked, "Are you Yang Erlang?" Yang Erlang said, "Old man, I'm Yang Erlang. How do you know? " "I am your adoptive father. We lived together for six years ... ". The old man shed tears as he spoke. Jiro knelt down and shouted, "adoptive father!" At this time, it was noon, the scorching sun was like fire, and the old man felt thirsty. Jiro looked around and there was only one well, which was very deep. Is there anything to carry water? In order to let the adoptive father drink water, Jiro tried every means to move the well down and let the adoptive father drink water.

Later, in order to commemorate Yang Erlang's filial piety, people named this well "Xiaqian Well", which is still in the south of Maling Mountain! Sun Bin went to war with Pang Juan, and fell in Dulonggou, Jiudaowan, Malingshan, Tancheng and Pang Juan, together with hundreds of troops. Since then, a kind of mountain crab that can't be found anywhere else has grown in this ravine. Its eyes are red, its legs are particularly regenerative, and there are traces of horseshoes on its body. The local people all say that this mountain is changed by Pang Juan. Because Pang and Pang have the same sound, the red rim of the eye is the result of Pang Juan crying his eyes red with regret after his tragic failure. The strong regenerative power of Shanpang's leg was caused by an arrow in his leg and Pang Juan's eagerness to escape. Now people nearby often come to the mountains to catch this crab to treat falls, and some people specially catch it and sell it to the demanders. There are deep horseshoe prints on his back, which is why Pang Juan was trampled by horses in the dark after his death.
