What is the origin of Beijing Huilongguan?

Huilongguan is located on the road from Beijing to Changping in the north of Beijing, and now it has developed from an ordinary township under Changping County into a prosperous residential area.

The place name of Huilongguan is related to the emperor's visit to the Ming Tombs to worship his ancestors. In the "civil strife" of the Ming Dynasty, Ming Yingzong Zhu Qizhen was unfortunately captured. Out of the need of the situation, Yu Qian, assistant minister of the Ministry of War, made Zhu Qiyu, the younger brother of Wang Zhu Qizhen, emperor. Then, there was a "change of seizing the door", Ming Yingzong and Zhu Qizhen were restored successfully, and the younger brother who proclaimed himself emperor was demoted to king. It also restricted Zhu Qiyu from living to worship his ancestors or being buried in Ming Di Mausoleum (Ming Tombs) in Tianshou Mountain, Changping after his death.

After being demoted, Zhu Qiyu was lonely and sad, missing his parents, but even the right to go to the grave was deprived. In desperation, he had to choose Huilongguan, overlooking Tianshou Mountain, making a silent sacrifice with his heart, and then going home with pain. Later, the small temple where Zhu Qiyu often stayed was called Huilongguan. Now Huilongguan refers to the location of the small temple.

There is another legend about Huilongguan.

According to legend, nine little dragons annoyed the jade emperor, who sent Antarctic immortals to deal with them. The Antarctic fairy came to Jiuding Mountain to punish nine brothers.

Kowloon refused to accept it, and the two sides fought in deep water. The immortal of Antarctica is weak, and Jiulong showed his talent with his water skills. The Antarctic immortals were soon defeated.

But he couldn't make a job with the jade emperor when he went back like this, so he used his quick wits to move a hill in the east with Antarctic magic. The water in the deep water immediately flowed eastward and dried up. Without water, Kowloon is naturally no match for the Antarctic fairy, so it can only give in easily.

The Antarctic fairy Weng opened the treasure gourd, put nine dragons in it, and pressed it under a blue stone slab, which built a palace to prevent Kowloon from escaping. This palace is called "Huilongguan", which means to hope that Kowloon will change its mind. Later, Huilongguan became the palace of Lishan's mother. In order to supervise Kowloon, Lishan's mother comes here regularly for a period of time every year.
