It is said that Fuxi painted eight diagrams in Huaiyang County, Zhoukou.

On the lake in Yili, northeast of Huaiyang County, Zhoukou City, stands a pavilion and a verdant hill. This is the place where the Fuxi family of Taihao began to draw gossip, hence the name Guatai, also known as the gossip altar. The Eight Diagrams Platform was built to commemorate the invention of Eight Diagrams by Taihao Fuxi. It is impossible to prove when it was built. According to the Records of Huaiyang County, a pavilion, a wall, thirteen gates and a stone carving were added to Zhangzhi Island in the first year of Ming Yingzong orthodoxy (A.D. 1436). Since then, it has been built in successive dynasties, increasing to seven halls, four stone carvings, three east-west wing rooms, two rooms, five rolling sheds and a yellow tile octagonal pavilion. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, there was only one gossip cypress, and there was a bronze statue of Fuxi during the Xining period of the Song Dynasty.
